Ken's Appetizer and Entree in a single pot
Just one pot to clean. You'll need a heavy casserole (Dutch Oven)
Chop a load of fresh garlic and saute in olive oil. Cut the stems off a load of broccoli rabe and chop it up. Then throw in the pot. Saute for a while.
Now add a can of clams, some white wine, a sliced tomato, some chicken stock and some fresh lemon juice.
Now add your favorite dumplings - these will be the appetizer. Just fish them out when you're ready.
Now add some shrimp, my store sells "colossal shrimp". If you don't like shrimp try clams or oysters or even cubes of salmon or tuna. Cook briefly and after you've had the dumplings serve the wonderful seafood and vegetable mixture in bowls.
Incredibly tasty. Incredibly healthy.
Finally, smile as you realize you did appetizer and entree and only have one pan to clean!
