Watson - The Bad Boy of DNA?
Together with his partner Francis Crick, Watson was ruthless in his pursuit of the structure of DNA. He did whatever it took. Including
getting access to Rosalind Franklin's x-ray photographs without her consent.
But he succeeded with Crick by his side. Together they published the structure of DNA in 1953. One of the greatest discoveries of all time.
But when Watson wrote a book about their discovery Crick tried to stop its publication.
Watson went back to the US.
And Crick? He and his wife took in Rosalind Franklin and cared for her as she suffered from ovarian cancer. She died at 37.
