AI reads Cuneiform
Cuneiform is one of the earliest known forms of writing, developed by
the ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) around 3,200
BC.
But the vast majority of the hundreds of thousands of cuneiform tablets discovered remain untranslated due to an extremely limited number of qualified experts.
Enter AI, which can now read Cuneiform with 98% accuracy. This means the vast trove of unread tablets can be decoded in far less
time and the contents made known to all.
