Ken's Mushroom Steak

Ken's Mushroom Steak

Get a large Portabella mushroom.

Carefully remove the stem making sure not to damage the mushroom. Rinse both and dry. Then finely chop the stem and place in a bowl.

Finely chop some shalotts and garlic cloves and add to the bowl.

Add a splash of fine olive oil. Add a pinch of salt, some fresh ground pepper and a pinch of paprika. Mix well.

Pour some olive oil on your hands and massage the mushroom, then place in a baking pan. Pour the mixture from the bowl all over the mushroom. Sprinkle with a bit of grated parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350F until nice and golden brown.

Eat with a knife and fork, just like a steak!
